How to recover emails using DD pst Repair Tool

Disk Doctors PST Repair is an advanced Email Recovery Utility to repair corrupted or damaged PST files from Outlook PST file. Repair PST does not modify the existing PST file in Microsoft Outlook; it just reads the corrupted or damaged PST file and restores/retrieves the information to a new Repaired PST file.

Guide Overview

The purpose of this guide is to direct you how to repair and retrieve your lost or deleted emails.

To repair your damaged or corrupted .pst file follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Select Button to Recover Emails

Run Disk Doctors PST Repair Utility, an application main window opens; Click on “button” to select the .pst file.

Step 2: Select Source File to Repair

Once after clicking the button, it presents you a list of all .pst files in the system. Select a .pst file that needs to be repaired. If a .pst file that you are looking for is not listed in the application window, click “Browse” button to browse for a particular .pst file and click on “Next” button.

Step 3: Select Path to Locate Data

As soon as you click on “Next” button, a window displays to select a destination location to restore repaired .pst file.

Disk Doctors Repair offers you two options.

• Save data to local drive
• Burn data to CD/DVD

By default you can save data to local drive. Select the location to save .pst file. Select compress repaired file(s) to save repaired .pst file in compressed form.

Step 4: Select Scan Method

Immediately after locating the file, select scan method to repair .pst file.

Disk Doctors PST Repair provides you two scan methods:

• Normal Scan
• Smart Scan

Select Normal scan (default), which performs search for lost/deleted mails and click on OK button.

The application uses an advanced scanning technique to locate emails in the selected .pst file and restores them into a new .pst file in the selected destination location.

To access you emails as before you can import the new .pst file to Microsoft Outlook.

Now you can even preview the recovered mails by clicking on emails from the application main window. The software shows the preview of the selected .pst file in the application main window.

NOTE:

• The mail which you’re looking for, if not found after normal scan, please perform smart scan on the .pst file.
• Rigorously Smart scan searches the selected .pst file for lost/deleted emails.
